Dr. Anthony Fauci to Receive 2021 Ryan White Distinguished Leadership Award

Wednesday, July 14, 2021

Dr. Anthony Fauci, M.D.

We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Anthony Fauci is the 2021 recipient of the Ryan White Distinguished Leadership Award. The honor will be presented in a virtual ceremony beginning at 5:15 EST on December 6, 2021. Registration is available at go.iu.edu/3Su6.

Since 2009, the Rural Center for AIDS/STD Prevention (RCAP) has presented this distinction annually to "an exemplary bearer of the standard of excellence and commitment needed to combat HIV/AIDS." The 2020 honoree was Dr. Joycelyn Elders. Other recipients include Greg Louganis and former U.S. Surgeon General Dr. C. Everett Koop. The first recipient, Ryan White's mother Jeanne White-Ginder, speaks each year at the ceremony, along with RCAP Director William L. Yarber.
