Dr. Will Cooke is a RCAP co-director and family medicine specialist in Scott County, Indiana in which in 2015 experienced the largest HIV outbreak and opioid crises in rural America's recent history. Dr. Cooke led a successful response to the epidemic and brought healing and hope to the community. Dr. Cooke authored the recently published book, Canary in the Coal Mine, a commentary that details his experiences as the only doctor working with the rural Southern Indiana town at ground zero of the 2015 Scott County HIV outbreak.
